Monks Coppenhall Academy Day Nursery was completely refurbished during May 2018 and
now provides a vibrant and welcoming learning environment for children to thrive and enjoy
new experiences.

The nursery has been equipped and designed with a vast range of
bespoke Early Years equipment including an interactive whiteboard and iPads.
The outside area has been transformed and now provides a stimulating and exciting
learning area to encourage a ‘free flow’ from inside to outside. We are also in the process of
developing our Nursery ‘Forest School’ area, where children will be able to explore and
discover nature as part of a ‘hands on’ experience.

A fully qualified teacher will deliver the pre-school curriculum in readiness for starting
school. A Sports Coach will deliver a health and fitness programme to the children. In
addition to this, an Arts Specialist will work with the children on a weekly basis. The
children will also have access to the wide range of facilities on offer in the academy.
The importance of books and reading will be a strong focus in order to develop language
and understanding. This will be supported by direct access to a qualified Speech and
Language Therapist employed within the academy trust.
