Children's Council

At Monks Coppenhall Academy, the children play a key role in helping to improve Monks Coppenhall. We run a school council which has been established by democratically electing children form each class from Year 2 to Year 6. We have one representative from each class.

The year group members are:

  

Josh - Head Boy - Year 6

 

Morgan - Head Girl - Year 6 

My hobbies include art, sport PE and writing; I feel that I can be a good role model for the Children's Council. I am always in school and I am always on time.

 

James - Deputy Head Boy - Year 6

My hobbies include playing outside, going out and about, walking and playing video games. I feel that I can be a good role model by helping people with their work, showing politeness and assisting our visitors, being the best I can in mind, body and spirit.

Zofia - Deputy Head Girl - Year 6 

My hobbies include playing the violin, art, riding my bike, sports of all types and reading books. I feel that I will bring happiness, joy and wonderful new ideas to the children’s council to help make Monks Coppenhall Academy a better place.

 

Poppy - Year 6

My hobbies include dnacing, singing and reading. I enjoy doing impressions. I love Harry Potter. My favourite subject is maths. I enjoy being a prefect and a member of the Children's Council.

 

Charlotte - Year 5 

My hobbies include art, dance and craft. I also enjoy looking after babies. I am sensitive and honest with a sense of fun. I feel I will bring a positive role to the Children's Council.

 

Tiarna - Year 5 

My hobbies are football, gymnastics and dancing. I feel that as a member of the Children's Council, I can make the Academy a better place and help everyone get along.

 

Maggie - Year 4 

I like to do gymnastics and writing stories. I love reading, my favourite author is Jaqueline Wilson. It is an honour to be elected to the Children's Council. I think my good behaviour and willingness to learn will set a good example to other children.

 

Maddison - Year 4 

My hobbies and interests are art, singing and dancing. I enojy riding my bike and I just love to swim. As a member of the Children's Council, I feel that I can be a great role model by helping younger people with their work and doing what people ask of me.

 

Tamika - Year 3

I love reading, it helps me to relax. I also like playing with my friends. I will bring lots of ideas to the Children's Council and my good behaviour will set a good example to others.

 

Kaden - Year 3

My hobbies and interests include football, playing computer games and spending time with my friends. I play football for a club. As a member of the Children's Council, I will listen and take note of the children’s ideas. I will take all ideas to the meeting for discussion.

 

Ashton - year 2

My hobbies and interests are playing on my Xbox and playing with my cat. I feel that I will be a good Children's Councillor as I am confident, honest and trustworthy. I will always do my best.

 

Sofia - year 2 

I love to play with my pet hamster. As a member of the Children's Council I will listen to other children and be the voice of the children.
