Our Academy

Welcome to our Academy

On behalf of everyone, I would like to welcome you to Monks Coppenhall Academy. The Academy is situated on the outskirts of Crewe Town Centre. It is a two-form entry Academy, with a planned admission number of 60, catering for a maximum of 30 in each class, with a capacity of 420 children. We are very proud of our outstanding status, as judged by Ofsted in February 2011.

We aim to serve our community to the highest of standards and our motto is: ‘To be the best we can in mind, body and spirit’

At Monks Coppenhall Academy, our educational vision is to be a place of excellence and enjoyment and have high aspirations for all our children. We want everyone to feel valued and achieve to the best of their potential. We have very high expectations of behaviour, where all learners are given equal opportunities and treated fairly. We want children to enjoy learning and develop a love of learning. Children are at the heart of everything we do. The Academy Council plays an active part in decision making within the Academy.

We aim for children to feel safe and secure; we place a particular emphasis on meeting the emotional needs of our children. We want children to leave our Academy confident, happy and well equipped for the next phase of education. Our very skilled team know each child well and want the very best outcomes for them.

Monks Coppenhall Academy operates its own Breakfast Club and After-School Club. The Academy offers a wide range of lunchtime and after school activity clubs. We believe parents and carers play a huge part in their child’s learning and feel it is important to work together to gain the best outcomes for your child.

This year, the Academy has identified priorities based on monitoring, self-evaluation and analysis. Please see the link below for further details.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Pamela Simpson
